Davin Orde, owner and operator
Davin began his craft about 30 years ago, learning under the mentorship of his father’s established timber frame business. Three decades on, his portfolio shows a creative eye and an innovative vision for one-of-a-kind homes, with intricate detail and a quality finish as the standard.
His professional affiliation with Normerica has been a cooperative effort to produce some of Canada’s most monumental timber frame homes. He has contributed to homes throughout Ontario, with an emphasis on the Kawarthas and Muskokas, as well as in Saskatchewan.
Davin supports the growing demand for environmentally friendly, energy efficient homes, and draws on a wide network across North America for those projects.
Experience from further afield
Over the years, Davin’s work has taken him well beyond Ontario, to Quebec, New York State, Vermont, Massachusetts and Virginia, and onto high-profile projects such as the historic Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs. There, through Normerica, he served as technical representative, overseeing the assembly of the timber frame at the main entrance and exterior of the track. Today he keeps the work close to home, and brings that experience to clients in Peterborough, the Kawarthas and the Quinte area.
